The combined software and hardware solution couples Galaxy's unmatched data management with the HDS-NetApp NAS Gateway's performance, capacity, and availability. The resulting one-stop solution allows customers to centrally manage data and storage resources across SAN, NAS, and DAS-critical factors that reduce IT costs and fully leverage the storage infrastructure.

HDS-NetApp Enterprise NAS Gateway
The HDS-NetApp Enterprise NAS Gateway is a special-purpose NAS server that can attach directly or through a Fibre Channel SAN fabric to external Hitachi Freedom Storageâ„¢ systems rather than relying on in-the-server storage. The solution thus leverages customers' existing investments in enterprise-level storage and SAN infrastructures to provide scalable, high-performance file access services using inexpensive Ethernet connections.
