CommVault has earned Storage Magazine/SearchStorage.com's 2010 Quality Award for enterprise-class backup and recovery software for the fourth time running. The Storage magazine/SearchStorage.com Quality Awards are designed to identify and recognize products that have proven their quality and reliability in actual use. The results are derived from a survey of qualified readers who assess products in five main categories: sales-force competence, initial product quality, product features, product reliability and technical support.
CommVault's Simpana software was awarded the Storage Magazine Product of the Year for 2009 in the backup and disaster recovery software and services category, as judged by a panel of users, industry analysts, consultants, as well as the Storage magazine-SearchStorage.com editorial staff. CommVault's Simpana software was recognized for advanced block-level data deduplication and the global approach taken by CommVault to build deduplication capabilities into both the backup and archiving process. According to the judges, Simpana software stood out for its functionality, value, performance, innovation, ease of use and integration.
In 2009, the editors of Law Technology News asked the publication's more than 40,000 subscribers to identify products and vendors that represented outstanding achievement in legal technology in 25 categories for its seventh annual awards program. The awards, selected based on subscriber online voting, will be presented at LegalTech New York on February 1, 2010. In 2009, CommVault partner the Cleveland Indians (MLB) established an advanced video capture and archiving platform to serve at-bat video clips of nearly 2,600 games per year via touch-screen systems, expanding the system to its spring training facility, while upgrading its datacenter and adding a disaster recovery site, leveraging technology from CommVault and other top technologies.
