CommVault upgrades Simpana

New features roll out sooner than expected

Data management and storage provider CommVault has upgraded its Simpana product earlier than anticipated.

The company released Simpana 9 rev 2 on February 2, with a feature that merges backup, archive and reporting processes. CommVault has also expanded its support of storage area arrays, and it allows for automatic re-deployment of backed-up VMware vSpheres through vCenter.
