CommVault Improves Backup and Recovery With NetApp OEM Agreement

To improve the speed, efficiency and simplicity of backup and recovery operations for customers, CommVault (NASDAQ: CVLT) has entered into a global OEM agreement with NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP).

Under the agreement, NetApp will integrate elements of CommVault's Simpana 9 software with NetApp SnapShot and replication technology, under the NetApp SnapProtect brand.

Enterprise organizations face significant challenges as today's data centers rapidly transition to modern, virtualized architectures, including increasing data storage complexity, exploding information growth, regulatory requirements and highly mobile workforces.
