Making Money in Software Depends On; What the Software Does: CVLT, NQ, PWRD

Here are three Small Cap application software companies that present very different investor possibilities and valuation prospects:

CommVault Systems Inc (NASDAQ:CVLT) which was trading at $25 in October and is currently trading in the $39.63 range, a gain of 58.52% in a little more than seven months on a very strong run up. At one time this month, the stock dipped to $35 and recovered immediately proving the strength and support behind the overall valuation ascent.

CVLT has a normal number of short sellers, and positive, double digit sales and EPS projections quarter over quarter. CommVault Systems Inc produces and sells a suite of software applications and services under the Simpana brand which includes: solutions for the backup and restoration of enterprise data for file systems, applications, databases, and virtual machine systems. The Company has strategic relationships with: Dell, Hitachi Data Systems, McAfee, and Microsoft Corporation.
