Guest post from Emily Wojcik

CommVault has a long history of partnering with industry leaders to help us deliver more innovative solutions to our customers. Today, I'm happy to announce another. CommVault has joined forces with the Association of Certified eDiscovery Specialists (ACEDS for short), a global network of professionals who work in the field of eDiscovery. This is an important partnership because it helps us bring the latest eDiscovery intelligence, best practices and guidance to our customers. CommVault knows that eDiscovery professionals are faced with new challenges every day, from new case law and evolving regulations to managing a variety of new content types. Every day, CommVault helps our customers evolve with this changing landscape and future proof their eDiscovery strategies against these unique challenges.

Ultimately, our goal is to connect the right people with the right technology they need in order to do their jobs and ACEDS is a podium that will help us do that. We’re excited about using this venue to exchange ideas and work more closely with the legal community. Over the coming year, CommVault will share our expertise on some of the hottest eDiscovery topics via podcasts, webinars and articles. As for me, I’m most excited about the members-only access to training and other resources. While "certified eDiscovery specialists" are not considered lawyers, they do undergo rigorous preparation, training and testing to achieve their status. Having certified specialists on board as part of the CommVault team gives us an edge on helping our customers meet real-world, day-to-day information management challenges and we can use that expertise to better collaborate with them on solutions.

Stay tuned for more information on our ACEDS activity. In the meantime, please join our first ACEDS webinar "Get Your House in Order with Defensible Deletion" on September 26th at 1pm EDT. You’ll learn about "cleaning house" in a legally defensible way.

Emily Wojcik is a Product Marketing Manager at CommVault.
